Shell Material and Profile
The holster body is formed from approximately 0.08‑inch Kydex thermoplastic, providing a rigid shell that maintains its shape under belt pressure and supports consistent one‑handed reholstering. A raised sweat guard on the body side helps minimize metal‑to‑skin contact and protects the pistol’s slide from perspiration during everyday carry.
Retention and Cant Adjustment
Passive retention is provided by a friction fit around the trigger guard and frame, with user‑adjustable retention screws that allow you to fine‑tune draw resistance. Many STR9 IWB designs also offer an adjustable cant range so the holster can be set for appendix or strong‑side inside‑the‑waistband carry to match the user’s preferred draw angle.
Belt Clip and Everyday Use

Care and Maintenance
Avoid exposing the holster to high temperatures, such as leaving it in a closed vehicle in direct sunlight, since Kydex can deform under excessive heat.
Clean the holster with mild soap and water only; do not use abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners that could damage the Kydex or hardware.
Do not lubricate the retention screws. After setting your preferred retention, periodically check the hardware for tightness and, if needed, apply a medium‑strength threadlocker to help keep the screws secure during everyday carry.
